Geomerics Opening for 3D Artist

Cambridgebased Software Company Geomerics is looking for a 3D artist. Geomerics is a rapidly growing company specialising in software for Computer Games and is located in City House on Hills Road, near the station.

The roll will involve working with our Lead Artist on the production of original artwork to help push the boundaries of our technology. Responsibilities will include the delivery of high quality assets, environment detailing and lighting, modelling and texturing of assets, and learning and using inhouse software and pipelines to efficiently deliver assets to specification.

Applicants should have a Degree or diploma from an Art College in Games Development, Fine Art, Design or an art related course. Strong modelling and texturing skills to a high level of quality both at high and low resolutions for realtime media are essential.

Strong knowledge of 3DS Max is required and Maya experience is desired. Applicants should also have good organizational skills and the ability to self manage and meet deadlines. Traditional art skills are a benefit.

Benefits include free use of the office gym, health and life insurance, and flexible working conditions in a modern wellequipped office.

Salary is in the range 19k to 26k depending on experience. We will consider higher
